Susie Lukic
Susie Lukic is an award-winning Brown Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor with a passion for empowering girls and women through martial arts, confidence-building and community.
Known for her supportive teaching style and welcoming approach, Susie creates a safe environment where complete beginners and experienced students alike can learn, grow and challenge themselves at their own pace.
Her classes focus not only on practical self-defence and technical skill, but also on helping women build confidence, resilience, discipline and self-belief both on and off the mats.
At the heart of Susie’s coaching is the belief that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu should be accessible, encouraging and empowering for everyone — regardless of background, fitness level or experience.
Through this partnership with The Zahra Circle, Susie is helping create a strong sisterhood where girls and women can feel supported, uplifted and part of something meaningful.

Absolutely! Our classes are designed to be beginner-friendly and welcoming to complete beginners. You do not need any previous martial arts or fitness experience to join.

This is a beginner-focused programme where techniques are taught step-by-step in a supportive and encouraging environment. Everyone learns at their own pace. -
Not at all.
BJJ is for everybody, regardless of fitness level or experience. Building strength, confidence and fitness happens naturally over time through training. -
Of course.
We aim to create a modest, comfortable and inclusive environment where hijabi girls and women feel safe, respected and empowered while training. -
Comfortable gym clothing is absolutely fine for your first session. If you register early, you may also receive one of our custom team rashguards provided by Adapt Jiu-Jitsu (limited stock available).

Our sessions are designed specifically for girls and women to create a safe, supportive and confidence-building space. -
Our classes are currently open to girls and young women aged 12–25. (We do make allowances for +- 2 years age difference.

Definitely. Many girls join on their own, and we work hard to make everyone feel welcomed, included and comfortable from day one. The atmosphere is friendly, supportive and community-focused.
