As guests arrive at Lake Bala, there will be time to settle in, unwind, and begin connecting with the women around you. From peaceful lakeside moments to shared experiences and meaningful conversations, the retreat begins with an atmosphere of warmth, reflection, and sisterhood.

  • Guests will have access to a range of outdoor and wellbeing experiences including water sports, high ropes, archery, canoeing, paddleboarding, team activities, workshops, campfires, qasā’id evenings, and more.

    Guests can complete roughly 6-8 activities during their stay.

    Most activities are suitable for ages 7+, although younger children may be able to participate in selected activities such as canoeing and paddleboarding when accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

  • Absolutely. Many women attend retreats alone, and we warmly welcome solo attendees. The retreat has been designed to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment focused on connection, sisterhood, and shared experiences.

  • Yes — mothers and daughters are welcome to attend together.

    Please note:

    • Under 16s must attend with a parent or responsible adult

    • No boys over the age of 9 permitted onsite

    • There is no crèche or childcare facility available

    • Parents remain responsible for supervising children throughout the retreat

  • Your retreat ticket includes:

  • Transport is optional and can be added during booking.

    Return coach transport from Huddersfield to Lake Bala is available for attendees who select the transport ticket option.

  • Accommodation is shared dormitory-style accommodation.

    Rooms will be allocated thoughtfully based on category and availability, including:

    • Mothers & daughters

    Attendees will receive a full retreat information pack closer to the retreat date, including a recommended packing list and accommodation guidance. Please note that guests will need to bring their own bedding or sleeping bag.

  • A full packing list will be sent closer to the retreat date. We recommend comfortable clothing, modest activewear, trainers, waterproofs, toiletries, prayer essentials, and warm layers for evenings outdoors.

  • Please note that all payments made towards the retreat are non-refundable, including deposits and instalment payments.

    As places are limited and accommodation, catering, activities, and retreat costs are secured in advance based on attendee numbers, we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds for cancellations or non-attendance.
